Ingram associates and guests commemorated the 75th anniversary of Tennessee Book Company on April 8, 2010. (Click here for more pictures).

Approximately 100 attendees came to the luncheon celebration at the Tennessee Book Company facility in La Verge, Tennessee.

Randy Collignon, Vice President and General Manager gave the opening remarks and then introduced John Ingram, Chairman, who spoke at the event. Former company associates were also in attendance including Herschel Gaddes, Roy Griffin, Betty Hay, John Reed and Vivian Tidwell.

The company was founded in 1935 to supply textbooks to the schools of Tennessee working with both publishers and the state's K-12 schools.

Today, the company serves 1,800 public and more than 140 private schools, working with over 70 publishers, and maintaining a database of more than 40,000 titles.

Tennessee Book Company was the very first company in the book industry for Ingram and the beginning of what is today Ingram Content Group Inc.
