A native of Owensboro, Kentucky, Randy attended parochial and public schools there, and earned the BS degree in Accounting from Murray State University. He also has done graduate work in business administration at Middle Tennessee State University.

Joining Ingram Book Group in 1989 as a staff accountant responsible for Tennessee Book Company, the next year Randy moved directly to the company and was named our Supervisor of Accounting in 1991. In quick succession, he was promoted to the positions of Accounting Manager (1993) and Director of Accounting Services (1995), and then to Vice President in 1996.

Randy was elevated to the position of Senior Vice President in 1998. In his current position, with the exception of the company’s purchasing and inventory management functions every other administrative and operational area reports either directly or indirectly to him. In addition to holding these responsibilities, Randy is the custodian of TBC’s primary business system and manages all related issues. He also leads the company’s web-based ordering initiative and oversees the company’s interests related to traffic carrier and transportation rate management.

Randy is married and the father of two daughters.
